Leigh Creek South Park

Leigh Creek South Park opened to the public in 2021 as part of the New Lenox Community Park District’s collection of 40 park and community recreation locations. The park is located adjacent to the Lincolnway Special Recreation Center (LWSRC) at 1900 Heather Glen Drive in New Lenox. Thanks to a state OSLAD grant with matching funds from the New Lenox Community Park District, as well as a contribution of fundraising efforts from LWSRA, the dream of a universal design (accessible) playground became a reality.

  • Walking Trail
  • Warrior and Activity Path (along walking trail)
  • Warrior Pods
  • Bankshot Basketball
  • Half-court basketball
  • Youth softball field
  • Communication Boards
