Dave Macek
Lincolnway Special Recreation Foundation
President
I have been a resident of Frankfort since 1991 moving from South Holland, IL where I grew up. I have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and have a 30+ year career in the commercial insurance business.
My wife of 38 years Kristi and I have four adult children, all graduates of the Summit Hill School District and Lincoln-Way High Schools. Additionally, we have a wonderful daughter and son in law, along with four grandsons and a granddaughter.
Community service is especially important to me and my family. Since our arrival in Frankfort, we have been involved with the Frankfort Square Park District as participants and volunteers. Additionally, I am Vice President of the Frankfort Square Park District Board of Commissioners now serving my fifth term. My association with the FSPD has led me to my current association with the Lincolnway Special Recreation Foundation Board of Directors.
My relationship with the FSPD originated with 15 years of involvement with the Frankfort Square Baseball League. I was a coach and board member ending my ten years on the board as President. I have volunteer with the Cub Scouts, Lincolnway Sharks and Frankfort Square Wildcat organizations. Rounding out my community involvement I also served one term on the Summit Hill School District Board.
