I Can Du It! Adaptive Duathlon

The I Can Du It! Adaptive Duathlon is an adaptive duathlon (a modified run-bike-run race) for children and young adults ages 4-22 with developmental disabilities and special needs. This year, the race will be hosted by BDI Playhouse Children’s Therapy and Lincolnway Special Recreation Association.

Time: 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.
*End time is subject to change pending the final number of racer sign-ups (racer registration closing September 1, 2024).

Volunteers are needed as:

  • Race buddies *must be physically able to walk and/or run alongside racers walking, running, rolling, biking, etc., completing an entire 0.9 mile or 1.9 mile race course with 1 race participant. Please wear appropriate athletic clothing and footwear.
  • Race course monitors/cheer stations
  • Race course water station
  • Food tent
  • Parking attendants
  • Floaters

Please wear comfortable, athletic clothing and shoes. The race is held outdoors, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

We will have a rain date of September 29, 2024 if it is decided that the weather will pose a safety risk.
